Keyboard Shortcuts

Once you internalize the shortcuts, navigating and working in Notius becomes second nature — faster than reaching for the mouse.

Most shortcuts are context-sensitive — they activate only when a note is focused or a specific view is open, and do not trigger while typing in an input field.

Note Shortcuts

When a note is focused, press a single key to act on it:

Key Action
`e` Edit note
`t` Edit title
`f` Focus mode (fullscreen)
`b` Bookmark note
`w` Toggle double width
`s` Share note
`x` Remove note from current view
`d` Delete note
`q` Open note context menu

Global Shortcuts

When no note is focused:

Key Action
`c` Quick settings
`+` Increase font size
`-` Decrease font size
`*` Toggle singularity mode (collection view only)

Navigation between notes

Shortcut Action
`Ctrl + ←` / `Cmd + ←` Previous note or Kanban column
`Ctrl + →` / `Cmd + →` Next note or Kanban column
`Escape` Close popup or unfocus note

Rich Text Editor (Blocks)

Shortcuts for working with blocks in the block editor:

Shortcut Action
`Ctrl + Enter` New block after current
`Ctrl + Shift + Enter` New child block
`Ctrl + ↑` Move block up
`Ctrl + ↓` Move block down
`Ctrl + ←` Decrease block indentation
`Ctrl + →` Increase block indentation
`Ctrl + Backspace` Remove block
`Ctrl + Delete` Delete block

Formatting shortcuts in the richtext editor:
